Netflix Now Lets You Play Video Games

Netflix Games can be accessed via an existing mobile app.

Netflix is launching Netflix Games, allowing subscribers to play a selection of games for free. 5 titles can be accessed directly via Netflix's mobile app. According to Mike Verdu, VP of Netflix's game development, all you need is a Netflix subscription – there are no ads, no additional fees, and no in-app purchases.

Netflix Games launches first on Android, with iOS support being on the way. It will let users download and play five titles including Stranger Things: 1984, Stranger Things 3, Shooting Hoops, Card Blast, and Teeter Up. More games are promised to be added to the service in the near future.

"Whether you’re craving a casual game you can start from scratch or an immersive experience that lets you dig deeper into your favorite stories, we want to begin to build a library of games that offers something for everyone," says Verdu. "We’re in the early days of creating a great gaming experience, and we’re excited to take you on this journey with us."
