Netflix revealed a release date and shared a new clip of its animated film The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep.
First announced in 2023, the film was initially scheduled for late 2024, but in the new exclusive clip, Doug Cockle shared that the release date had been moved to February 11, 2025. The actor, known for lending his voice to Geralt in The Witcher video game series developed by CD Projekt Red, will continue voicing the character in the animated movie.
The new clip shows Geralt and Jaskier sitting around a fire and talking, and, as Doug Cockle humorously noted, Jaskier was, as usual, getting on Geralt's nerves.
Netflix's film is based on Andrzej Sapkowski's short story called "A Little Sacrifice" and is set between the fifth and sixth episodes of the first season of Netflix's The Witcher series. In the film, Geralt is to investigate a series of attacks in a coastal village, which leads him into an ancient conflict between humans and sirens. The character will battle not only monsters and men but also merpeople.
