By the end of 2023, Netflix released a new report to shed light on the state of its game division. According to the report, Netflix has released 40 games on its platform within the year.
Also, the company shared some details about the upcoming games set to release in 2024. Among the new additions to the list are AI-enhanced fashion sim FashionVerse, where players can style photo-realistic models and build their own fashion brand; a revamped version of Game Dev Tycoon with a special Netflix feature allowing players to develop games based on popular movies and TV shows; the mobile-exclusive Sonic Mania Plus, and Cozy Grove: Camp Spirit, which will enrich the list on the platform.

The company launched its gaming service in 2021 and since then Netflix has been expanding its gaming offerings, aiming to provide a diverse range of games for all users, as they stated. As we previously reported, Netflix is allegedly thinking of including GTA in its catalog. As for now, the platform offers 86 games, with nearly 90 more in development, though it is unclear whether this includes existing titles being added to Netflix.
Although the company is making significant strides in the gaming industry by adding more titles to its platform, players seem to have zero interest, as only 1% of Netflix's subscriber base plays games daily.
