Netflix to Develop a Splinter Cell Anime Series

John Wick writer Derek Kolstad joined the team to develop the new series.

Netflix and Ubisoft joined forces to work on an anime series based on the legendary Splinter Cell series, Variety reports.

Derek Kolstad is best known for his work on the plot of the John Wick films. He will join the team as a writer and executive producer on the series. Variety reported that the series has already received a two-season run. There are no comments from either Ubisoft or Kolstad as of this moment.

The first Splinter Cell part was originally released in 2002 telling about the story of former U.S. Navy SEAL Sam Fisher recruited by the Third Echelon division.
