With a grain of sand at the end of an anniversary video message.
NetherRealm celebrated the 30th anniversary of Mortal Kombat by releasing a "thank you" video that ends with a pleasant surprise – a short clip most likely teasing Mortal Kombat 12.
Concluding his speech, the series co-creator Ed Boon says, "Thank you Mortal Kombat fans for 30 years of amazing support. ... We’re not quite done yet." Then we see the inside of an hourglass and a grain of sand that then explodes.
As pointed out by Polygon, it is probably Kronika's hourglass that can change timelines, so the possibilities of what's to come are endless.
