HBO just dropped a new teaser trailer for its original series Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, offering another glimpse into the fascinating magical universe. And it's not that long of a wait: the first episode will air on December 25.

The first trailer, shown back in March, focused more on Harry's Muggle life, showing him at school and in the Dursleys' house, for example. The new trailer leans into the magical world instead – the Hogwarts Express, the Sorting Ceremony, Quidditch, the Restricted Section of the library (that eerie scene with Filch!), and more. It also highlights the show's magical atmosphere, giving us a chance to see scenes never shown before, such as Hermione talking to other students on the train, apart from Harry and Ron.

We also get a closer look at the characters, both teachers and students: Dumbledore (portrayed by John Lithgow), Professor McGonagall (Janet McTeer), Hagrid (Nick Frost), Snape (Paapa Essiedu), and, of course, Harry (Dominic McLaughlin), Ron (Alastair Stout), Hermione (Arabella Stanton), Draco Malfoy (Lox Pratt), and even Fred and George (Tristan Harland and Gabriel Harland), mischievous as always.

Also, fans will be able to return to the magical world with the sequel to Hogwarts Legacy – Warner Bros. confirmed that a second title is in development.
