New Powerful UE5 Camera Plug-In From Cinemachine Devs

Iterate instantly in real-time, whether you're in edit or play mode, changes are applied and saved automatically, even while the project is running.

Developed by Adam Myhill and Gerald Orban, the creators of Cinemachine, one of the highest-rated Unity packages, Black Eye seeks to offer a groundbreaking, complete redesign of what a camera system can be.

Black Eye promises to transform your shot creation process with tools that understand your vision, adapting fluidly to changing scenarios. Iterate instantly in real-time, whether in edit or play mode, and make changes on the fly, your adjustments are saved automatically, even while the project is running.

The tools are also well-suited for a range of 3D disciplines, including gameplay design, cutscene creation, pre-visualization, and more.

Black Eye

According to the website, instead of a single camera attempting to handle every function, Black Eye cameras offer instant real-world and through-the-lens compositional controls. Dynamically track, zoom, adjust, compose, and aim at one or multiple objects. Experience real-time damping, velocity look-ahead, and the authentic weight and feel of a real camera, all while playing, with changes saved automatically.

Set up a camera and achieve the desired look in under a minute, replacing hours of keyframing. Create a variety of shot types, close-up, wide, medium, tracking, or any other you need, and put them on the Sequencer in any order. Try out different arrangements, change the edit, and tweak compositions, and the shots will still work.
