Realme has announced a new smartphone, Realme GT Neo 5, that supports 240W fast charging and can fully fill the battery in under 10 minutes. This makes it the fastest-charging phone on the market, according to GSMArena.
If you don't need all this power, the phone also comes in a 150W variant, with a 5,000mAh battery, slightly better than 240W's 4,600mAh.
Realme GT Neo 5 is powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. The 240W version has 16GB RAM and either 256GB or 1TB storage. The 150W one has 8GB, 12GB, or 16GB RAM, with a 256GB storage.
The smartphone has a 6.74-inch AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. The screen resolution is 2772x1240 pixels, and it gives you 100% DCI-P3 coverage.
It sports a 50MP main camera and a 16MP selfie camera. It has an 8-component cooling solution, which makes sure fast charging doesn't heat it up too much.
Additionally, there is a customizable RGB LED rectangle on the back, which lights up with different colors depending on the status. The smartphones come in white, black, and purple colors.
Realme GT Neo 5 has been announced for China only for now. The 240W variant is CNY3,199 ($470) for the 16GB/256GB version and CNY3,499 ($515) for the 16GB/1TB edition.
Realme GT Neo 5 150W is CNY2,499 ($368) for the 8/256GB version, CNY2,699 ($400) for the 12/256GB middle option, and CNY2,899 ($427) for the 16/256GB model.
