Developed by Polygonflow, the creator of the Dash world-building plug-in for Unreal Engine, FrameRef is a new standalone tool for 2D and 3D artists, designed to keep all your references organized and easily accessible. Its key advantage is the ability to drag and drop videos directly from YouTube, setting it apart from the popular reference board tool PureRef.
FrameRef offers standard features such as grouping files, transforming them, adding notes, and more, and supports a wide range of formats, including images, videos, GIFs, and PDFs. You can also control playback of the videos, trim them to keep only the parts you need, or extract specific frames for reference.
It's not free, but it offers a 30-day free trial and a one-time purchase license for $19. Currently, FrameRef is available for Windows only.
