New Trailer For An Upcoming Game That Allows You To Switch Between Top-Down & Third-Person Perspectives

You can also switch between retro pixelated and cinematic graphics in Dark Light: Survivor.

Dark Light: Survivor, an upcoming action roguelike survival game from the development team behind Dark Light, has received a new teaser trailer.

“Dark Light: Survivor is a roguelike survival game where you play as one of the last humans, journeying through a shattered multiverse in search of the fabled Elysium,” reads the game description. The video above gives us a peek at how the game allows a smooth transition between top-down and third-person perspectives, as well as between a retro style with Pixel Mode and cinematic graphics.

Another key feature is the deep customization, which allows players to “swap out attachments like handgrips, scopes, handles, ammo, and lasers.” With the customized weapons, players can better deal with the relentless challenges in diverse universes, like the void supermarket shown at the beginning of the trailer. This is the first new map that the team unveiled, and the developers teased that they’re working on a snow tundra base map set in a post-apocalyptic world.

This Dev update log that the team shared earlier shows that the game will also feature unique armor and helmet designs. “These designs reflect the multiverse theme, blending different eras and styles into unique character looks. Imagine a hero in medieval armor mixed with WWII elements, or a futuristic knight carrying both ancient swords and high-tech gadgets.” You can imagine a blend of the past and future, which will create unexpected and delightful collisions.
