New Update to Palworld Introduces Crossplay & Photo Mode
And much more.
Pocketpair
Exciting changes are coming to Palworld in a new update: you can finally play the game on any platform you want – PC, Xbox, or PlayStation – with the crossplay feature Pocketpair introduced.
No need to choose one now: just jump in from where you're most comfortable and continue where you've left off.
To make your process more memorable, you can capture the best moments thanks to a new photo mode accessible from the Pal Command Wheel. Hide the HUD, place the camera where you need it, and enjoy the best screenshots.
Other than that, you can now store Pal data in the Global Palbox and transfer your creatures between worlds. The dimensional Pal storage offers 10 times the capacity of a regular Palbox, with adjustable access settings for guild members and personal use.
Love your armor but it's not the most powerful anymore? Just transfer its looks to another piece in the Antique Dresser. And become even stronger by combining low-rarity blueprints to create higher-rarity ones.
Finally, there are now dedicated servers for Mac but none for PS5 yet, unfortunately.
Pocketpair
Other than that, Pocketpair introduced balance and UI changes as well as some adjustments:
- Buildings can now be placed even if they overlap with a Pal
- When connecting foundations or roofs, the connected pieces will now automatically align in the same direction
- Assigning an Ice Pal to the Flea Market will slow down item decay in storage and sales
- Added torches at the entrances of random dungeons for better visibility
- Players can now sit on chairs and cushions
- Some weapons that dealt ultra-high damage to trees will no longer drop items upon destruction
- Added new NPCs and improved NPC behaviour during conversations
Palworld might not be as popular as it used to be – something the studio is still baffled by – but it still attracts a decent number of players, and not all of them are pleasant. Pocketpair has a simple solution for toxic people: "You just call 'em losers and you kick 'em."
