Nick Kallen Launches Plasticity 1.1

It introduces a curve-based text tool, an extensive autosave system, STL export, and more.

Nick Kallen has released Plasticity 1.1, an update to the NURBS-based modeling tool, which introduces several new features and fixes.

The new version adds the option to display measurements so you can see the length, angle, and radius of your lines and curves. Speaking of curves, the app also has a curve-based text tool with 15 fonts included.

Another great decision is the new extensive backup system, which allows you to fall back to an hour-, day-, or month-old save and tracks your previous edits.

Other changes include STL export and workflow improvements.

You can get an Indie license for $99 to import and export STEP, OBJ, and Parasolid formats or a Studio one for $299, which will let you work with the same types plus IGES, ACIS, and Rhino formats. If you aren't sure if you'd like it, you can try it for free for 60 days.
