Famitsu, in its latest report, has unveiled the retail sales figures for the period spanning from June 26 to July 30, revealing that the Nintendo Switch console has achieved a remarkable milestone of 30 million units sold in Japan alone across its standard, Lite, and OLED versions.
According to the report, the Switch OLED model garnered sales of 73,626 units, while the PlayStation 5 followed closely behind with a respectable 48,463 units sold. The standard Switch and Switch Lite versions secured the third and fourth positions, with sales of 11,467 and 8,117 units, respectively. Consequently, the cumulative sales for the Nintendo Switch in Japan have now surged past the 30M mark, reaching an impressive 30,166,729 units sold.
As for the games sold during this period, Nintendo's Pikmin 4, has seized the top-ranking position for the third successive week. The real-time strategy game managed to add 78,838 copies to its sales count, overshadowing Tears of the Kingdom, which secured the second position with 14,673 units sold. Natsu-Mon! 20th Century Summer Vacation, the prior week's second-place title, slipped a bit to attain the fourth spot, permitting Mario Kart 8 Deluxe to secure a position in the top three.
Multiple other games for Nintendo Switch have also marked their presence in the overall top 10 list, with titles such as Minecraft: Switch Edition, Nintendo Switch Sports, Splatoon 3, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and Ring Fit Adventure making an appearance. The list also included Master Detective Archives: Rain Code from Spike Chunsoft and Square Enix's Final Fantasy 16.
