Nintendo Switch 1 & 2, PC Will Be First to See Hades 2
PS5 and Xbox Series X|S will have to wait.
Supergiant Games
Hades 2 has been in early access on PC since 2024, but the wait for the full game will soon be over once Nintendo Switch 2 launches on June 5.
Nintendo continues revealing the titles that will accompany the device's release and has talked to Supergiant Games in its new Creator's Voice episode, concluding it by saying Hades 2 would launch first for consoles on Nintendo Switch 2.
This sounds as if the game will be a Switch 2 exclusive, but it's not true: Supergiant clarified that the new Hades will be released simultaneously on PC, Nintendo Switch 2, and the original Nintendo Switch.
I suspect that by "launching first," Nintendo meant among consoles only, as PS5 and Xbox Series X|S owners will have to wait.
There are plenty of Switch 2 exclusives coming, like FromSoftware's The Duskbloods. We will also finally see Hollow Knight: Silksong after many years of muted development.
Switch 2 will be out on June 5. It won't have an achievement system but will boast a pretty hefty price – $449.99, with its games costing quite a bit as well. For example, Mario Kart World will be $80 because Nintendo has apparently evaluated the "development that's gone into the game," the depth of gameplay, longevity, and replayability and decided it was a fair price.
