Nintendo Switch 2 is expected to become "the biggest launch in game industry history," selling faster even with a higher price than the previous console model.
Bloomberg's recent report states that investors and analysts expect the upcoming Nintendo console to become one of the brand's most successful launches, exceeding the figures of the first model. Analysts close to the company and its software and hardware partners claim that the price of the console might be $400 or more, with about a $100 increase in comparison to the $299 price of the first Switch. The launch is expected to take place in June.
Serkan Toto, an industry expert based in Japan, said: "They will sell boatloads of Switch 2 in the first months in particular, almost regardless of the price." He also shared the anticipations for the upcoming console: "We can expect a great software lineup in year one, from new Mario Kart and 3D Mario after eight years to Pokémon Legends: Z-A and Metroid Prime 4. There will also be third-party support from day one, most probably including blockbusters like Call of Duty."
Nintendo announced the new console this January and promised to share more details about the NS2 during the upcoming Nintendo Direct conference on April 2, 2025.
