Nintendo confirmed that the Nintendo Switch 2 will feature backwards compatibility. In a recent Twitter post, Nintendo's president Shuntaro Furukawa shared that Nintendo Switch software will also be playable on the successor to Nintendo Switch. The announcement was made at Corporate Management Policy Briefing on November 6. Furukawa said that further information about the next Nintendo Switch, including its compatibility with the previous model, would be announced at a later date.
