Northgard developers Shiro Games have released Wartales – an open-world RPG that offers you to lead a group of mercenaries looking for wealth across a massive medieval universe.
"A century has passed since the fall of the Edoran Empire at the hands of an unprecedented plague that swept the nation. Now, the land is rife with mercenary work, banditry and thievery, with honor having become an almost entirely forgotten virtue."
You are not the hero of this story but a survivor, trying to stay in this world regardless of the cost and means. You can recruit new companions with unique specializations, skill sets, weapon preferences and personalities.
Customize your team's abilities, gear, and appearance using an easy-to-understand RPG progression and crafting system and enhance your encampment with luxuries, tools, and equipment to aid your team.
Collect bounties and take on contracts. Protect the innocent from thieves and defeat the land's most notorious evil. Fight your enemies with a rewarding tactical turn-based combat system and select the best combination of characters, equipment, and tactics to win. And if you ever feel lonely, invite some friends, Wartales supports co-op for up to 4 players.
