Nuke Indie Announced

Foundry released Nuke Indie, a new edition of their toolkit for $499 per year meant for freelancers and solo artists.

The new Nuke Studio-based edition includes the toolkit's editorial and review capabilities and allows users to export at resolutions up to 4K. Please note that it saves in its own file format and doesn't support full Python or plugin support.

The team describes the new version as lightly functionally restricted. Unlike the non-commercial edition, it supports Primatte and Ultimatte chroma keyers, the WriteGeo node, the option to export LUTs and EDLs, and support for external video monitors, and more.

The new edition doesn't support the H.264 video codec and AAC audio codec.

Conditions:

  • Your annual gross revenue is less than USD$100,000/year (or local equivalent).
  • Only one license can be used per user or organisation.
  • Cannot be used in a pipeline with other Nuke commercial or Nuke Indie licenses.

You can learn more about the new edition here.
