Oculus Connect Became Facebook Connect

Oculus Connect, an annual conference dedicated to VR technology, is Facebook Connect now.

The conference will be in a virtual format this year and will take place on September 16. Facebook has also changed the theme of the covering moving from a VR conference to brand new Facebook Reality Labs, teams that are working on VR and AR solutions. There’s no schedule for the event yet.

Facebook acquired Oculus in 2014. The rebranding took place right after an added requirement to have a Facebook account to use Oculus headsets.
