Road to VR checked the stock availability of Oculus Quest and Rift S in the world.
Road to VR analyzed the availability of Oculus Quest and Rift S and shared the return dates of both sets in 23 countries across the world.
The data shows that Rift S is unavailable for purchase anywhere in the world and doesn’t have approximate dates of coming back to the market. The shipping of Oculus Quest, on the other hand, will begin in the second half of June. The first shipping will start in the U.K. and Japan on June 8 and 8 respectively. However, the shipping in the U.S. will start on June 25 only. In Canada, the set won’t be available for shipping until June 30.
The major difference between Quest and Rift S is the requirement to use external hardware. Compared to a PC-powered VR headset Rift S, Oculus Quest goes as an all-in-one gaming system for virtual reality. In other words, with Oculus Quest, you don’t need a PC to play a game in VR.
