The OpenAI Startup Fund has opened applications for Converge 2, the six-week program designed to support startups leveraging AI. The initiative aims to propel innovation and creativity through AI in various domains. The first cohort, arranged in December 2022, showed the global interest in AI and its potential to revolutionize industries. With AI becoming more accessible and capable, Converge 2 seeks to accelerate startups led by engineers, designers, researchers, and product builders using AI to reimagine the world.
The program will take place from March 11, 2024, to April 19, 2024, and feature tech talks, office hours, social events, and conversations with leading practitioners. Participants will receive a $1 million investment from the OpenAI Startup Fund and join the community of builders. You can apply before Friday, January 26, 2024, and the good news is that the program is open to founders from diverse backgrounds and experience levels, even those with no prior AI experience.
OpenAI's team has shared that the cohort will consist of 10-15 companies, and the program will require a time commitment of 4-6 hours per week. While the first and last weeks of the program are held in person in San Francisco, with travel costs covered, the intervening weeks can be completed remotely. However, in-person attendance is recommended for maximum program benefits.
