Out of Bounds Mod Reveals That Birds in GTA 4 Fly with Broken Wings

Why animate something in high quality when no one will notice? Especially in old games. That's what Rockstar probably thought when breaking this poor bird's wings and sending it to fool players who wouldn't know better.

Well, it might have been true back in the day, but now, with out of bounds mods, fans can find all kinds of fun details in their favorite games, just as content creator Shesez did with GTA 4 and other games.

He collected his findings in one video, showing not only how the developers made animating birds "cheaper" but also some tricks they used to save effort and computational power. For example, you can see the assassin who shot Roman chilling under the textures before the event and Roman himself falling, even though it happened behind the camera in the game.

Of course, GTA 4 is full of gags and references, which you can explore with the mod or by simply watching Shesez's video.
