Technical Artist and Creative Producer at Adobe Wes McDermott, known to many for producing highly educational tutorials on all things Substance 3D, has recently showcased an incredible paint-peeling smart material created with Substance 3D Painter.
Made by Wes himself, the material comes with tons of customizable options, enabling the artist to tweak Dirt Level and Balance and easily apply or remove paint from the surface with brush strokes. According to the author, the material was set up using the software's Anchor Points, a feature that lets one to expose any resource or element in the layer stack and reference it in different areas of the layer stack for different purposes and with a different set of adjustments, and the new blending mode feature for filters.
