Path Traced Rendering in a Browser

Have a look at Ultra Render, a new path traced GPU rendering system based on BRIO, a cloud AR, VR, and 3D presentation platform.

The team describes the toolkit as the “world’s first-ever web real-time and GPU path traced photoreal rendering technology”. They added that BRIO now supports baked lightmaps, so you can get more realistic results using the platform’s standard real-time render engine.

The platform allows artists to upload assets in different 3D file formats like FBX, OBJ, Collada, and glTF. You can also apply or edit PBR materials, plus tweak direct or HDR-based lighting.

The new Ultra Render engine is said to provide more realistic results compared to the original render engine, especially when it comes to transparent and more complex materials. The new toolkit features a Sun and Sky system, its own materials, camera, and render settings.

For now, it is meant for generating still renders, plus sharing presentations with users on desktop systems. You can learn more here. This is a custom Path tracing engine where you can send your scene to anyone or host on your web page + AR + VR + realtime. Not Threejs path tracing. :)
