Peacock Reveals First Poster for Twisted Metal TV Series

The 10-episode show will premiere on July 27, 2023.

The launch of Peacock's Twisted Metal television series is almost around the corner, and IGN has just revealed the show's official poster art.

According to official descriptions, Twisted Metal is set to be "a high-octane action comedy" starring Anthony Mackie, known for his portrayal of Falcon in Marvel movies, and Stephanie Beatriz, best known for her role as Rosa Diaz in the hit comedy series Brooklyn Nine-Nine.

Joe Seanoa (from AEW), Will Arnett (known for Arrested Development), and Thomas Haden Church (from Spider-Man: No Way Home) are also among the cast members joining Mackie and Beatriz for the show.

While drawing inspiration from the iconic PlayStation games, the series is built upon an original concept by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick (known for Deadpool and Zombieland), and written by Michael Jonathan Smith (of Cobra Kai fame).

As per the official synopsis, Twisted Metal will track the journey of a "motor-mouthed outsider" who receives an opportunity to improve his life. However, he must first navigate a post-apocalyptic wasteland and deliver a mysterious package to its destination.

The show will be aired on the Peacock streaming service and will make its debut on July 27, 2023. The series will consist of 10 episodes. Additionally, Twisted Metal's creators revealed that they plan to release the first teaser on April 28.
