Phantom Line Returns with a Revamped Build for Its Open Playtest
Explore the post-apocalyptic world in a co-op horror shooter from ex-BioShock and Cyberpunk 2077 developers.
Players can now get their taste of Phantom Line, a co-op PvE shooter set in a post-apocalyptic European continent, as Antistatic Studios launches an open playtest.
The playtest runs from March 3 to 10, 2026, and is available on Steam and Epic Games Store. During the playtest, players can explore new features, including Mortfield's training facility for H.U.S.K., new enemy types, anomalies, and challenges. Those who played the game last year will notice considerable changes, as the team has revamped the experience with new animations, a rewritten movement and interaction system, improved camera and audio, and updated biomes and weather.
A significant number of bugs have also been addressed, and the world environment has been optimized. The game is still in development, but the playtest build feels like a noticeably refreshed experience.
Antistatic Studios
Phantom Line is being created by former lead BioShock and Cyberpunk 2077 developers at Antistatic Studios. Set in a post-apocalyptic open world filled with dynamic events, players assume the role of an operator from an elite spec-op unit working for a megacorp, Mortfield Industries, tasked with tracking down and containing paranormal activity kept hidden from the public.

One of the megacorp's research facilities, located in the Iron Corridor, an Eastern European region, gripped by international tensions and paranormal activity, has lost contact with its HQ. Players are sent in to investigate and secure the perimeter as nuclear war breaks out around them.
The key gameplay mechanic is the H.U.S.K. Operator Simulation Program, which allows game characters to transfer their consciousness into artificial bodies and use them tactically, using strategies such as scouting, distraction, and decoying.
