In a recent interview, Phil Spencer, The Head of Microsoft Gaming, continued discussing the upcoming release of Starfield and the team's next plans for Xbox and its ecosystem. Spencer emphasized they currently plan to release four first-party games every year.

First, it was a desire, but now the Xbox manager said that's a new plan that needs to happen. Spencer stressed it has already happened this year, and they plan to get the same result next year.
Phil Spencer also went on to remind of games that visited or will visit the Xbox consoles this year:
- Hi-Fi Rush
- Minecraft Legends
- Redfall
- Starfield
- Forza
- Age of Empires 4 (console)
