Learn about new features and enhancements in the August 2021 release of Photoshop 22.5.
Adobe has released Photoshop 22.5. The release updates the Transform Warp system and Discover panel, adds a new menu item in the Sky Preset fly-out menu, and adds Photoshop to Adobe’s public beta program. In addition, Adobe has discontinued Photoshop’s 3D features and export of documents as SVG files.
The update features:
Get More Skies: With this release, a new menu item in the Sky Preset fly-out menu will take you to the Adobe Discover website where you can view and download more sky images for free.
New Transform Warp Options: With this release, you get more flexibility when using Transform Warp and achieve transformations inside a split warp grid that wasn’t possible earlier. If you are a Packaging Designer, you can now easily isolate and move any control handle to fit your artwork onto a product. Also, you can independently move the control handles (also called 'Bezier' handles) attached to anchor points while applying a Split Warp for transformation using a keyboard shortcut.
Improved in-app Discover: In the Discover panel home, you can now browse through What's New content highlighting new Photoshop features through the improved What's New section.
Photoshop Beta: The Photoshop Beta will soon be available for anybody with a membership plan that includes Photoshop. Install the Beta using the Creative Cloud desktop app in the "Beta apps" section.
