The headset, featuring precise face, eye, and hand tracking, aims to help businesses improve in healthcare, education, training, and productivity.
Developer of VR solutions PICO has announced the launch of the PICO 4 Enterprise, a next-generation, all-in-one VR headset that aims to help enterprise customers grow in various key business areas, including healthcare, education, training, and productivity.
The PICO 4 Enterprise is the first PICO headset featuring precise face, eye, and hand tracking. It's supported by two infrared cameras and offers an immersive and interactive VR experience "that empowers meaningful connections for businesses wherever they operate." The company is planning to support accurate automatic IPD adjustment in the future, automatically adjusting to users' interpupillary measurements without additional input or lengthy tutorials.
The headset's four SLAM cameras enable high-precision tracking and mapping of surrounding environments. It sports a 16MP RGB camera with high color saturation, covering 85% of the NTSC color gamut and 100% of the sRGB color gamut.
The PICO 4 Enterprise is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 platform and has a 4K+ screen with a 90Hz refresh rate, 105-degree field of vision, and 1,200 PPI combined with a 5,300mAh rear-mounted battery that supports Qualcomm Quick Charge QC 3.0.
The headset's controllers feature a one-piece rotating arc column with infra-red sensors and support 6DoF as well as a HyperSense broadband motor for more realistic haptic feedback.
The PICO 4 Enterprise is light, it weighs just 300g, comes with adjustable straps, and uses a double PU foam mask, which can be detached, switched, disinfected, and replaced. The device's battery offers up to three hours of use, fast-charge capabilities, and TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light Certification. The headset's design also supports the use of a glasses spacer included in the box for users wearing glasses.
PICO Business Suite, integrated with PICO 4 Enterprise, provides access to a secure and private Enterprise-level operations system, which addresses the need for customized solutions. The system's three main functions include Sync, Streaming, and Kiosk Mode, which allow multiple VR devices to connect while enabling live streaming and more automatic viewing.
It is supported by an Enterprise App Store, developer kits, and business exclusive settings for a greater level of flexibility to integrate the headset into business operations.
"The PICO 4 Enterprise is a great addition to our Enterprise offering and we are excited for our partners to get their hands on our most advanced headset yet,” said Oliver Wöhler, Enterprise Lead for EMEA. "At PICO, we are committed to offering software and hardware solutions that help our partners realize immersive enterprise solutions. The PICO 4 Enterprise does exactly that.”
Pre-orders for the PICO 4 Enterprise start November 1, with general availability beginning in early December. The headset can be purchased in select EMEA countries, Australia, and New Zealand.
