Pilgway Releases a Free Version of 3DCoat

The free version is called 3DCoatPrint and includes all the sculpting tools from the original.

Pilgway has released 3DCoatPrint, a new and free version of their software for creating models for 3D printing 3DCoat. According to the developers, the new 3DCoatPrint tool includes all of 3DCoat's sculpting tools and rendering features, allowing its users to have the same voxel modeling workflow as in the original version. Unfortunately, the tool does have limitations when it comes to exporting your models – the export resolution is capped at 40K triangles and the mesh is smoothed specifically for 3D printing.

The release announcement also states that 3DCoatPrint can be used for commercial projects for free, but only if the models you create are intended to be 3D printed or for the creation of rendered images. Other uses may only be for personal non-profit activity.
