Described as a "really exciting release, particularly if you care about surfacing", this update overhauls the workflow for managing CVs and adds the xNURBS library directly into the Studio edition of the app.
Plasticity, a lightweight NURBS modeling software released back in 2023, pitched as "CAD for artists", continues to improve its tools and features, focusing on reworking the surfacing workflow with overhauled Control Vertices in the latest release.
As demonstrated by recreating an old Siemens NX in Plasticity, surface CV editing now allows direct manipulation of both trimmed and untrimmed faces, and faces with visible CVs now have a "nominal" surface to allow easier edits in the presence of direct editing. RemoveNominalSurfaceCommand is available in case it needs to be removed.

Additionally, the Offset Face command now supports dependent offsets and a new Raise Degree command increases surface complexity by converting analytic surfaces to splines and increasing the spline degree.
Implemented TogglePoints command allows to show or hide points on faces, curves, and bodies to visually simplify the workflow.
The developers also highlight the integration of the xNURBS library directly into Plasticity's Studio edition, previously only available via paid add-ons for Rhino and SolidWorks.
