You can now play a demo of this game with destructible environments featuring a complex rune system inspired by Ultima and Arx Fatalis.

Looking for a role-playing game with a complex rune magic system where you can craft different spells yourself? Here's a game inspired by Ultima and Arx Fatalis that might get you interested.  

Runehaven is a voxel-based first-person roguelike dungeon crawler where players proceed through eerie, procedurally generated dungeons, battle different creatures, solve puzzles, discover hidden secrets, and dodge all kinds of traps.

Among other features, the game offers voxel physics and a destructible environment (both you and your enemies can destroy stuff).

One of the coolest features is the ability to craft spells by combining different runes using a magic system inspired by Ultima and Arx Fatalis. The developer states that each rune affects the spell in a unique way. 

A demo is available on Steam, so go check it out if you have time. The full version should arrive later in 2025.
