Players Are Upset Call of Duty Is Turning into Fortnite

One crispy chicken gun to ruin the aesthetics.

Fortnite has chosen a great marketing path of adding all kinds of stuff as skins, which basically ensures never-ending promotions as long as Epic Games has something to offer. However, not everyone accepts this way in other games.

Call of Duty data miners have found a trailer for an Extra Crispy gun, which turns enemies into nuggets and lets you fry a whole chicken on the barrel. Odd and silly, this fun Warzone Mobile-exclusive feature has left plenty of fans annoyed at how unserious the game has become.

"The damage Fortnite has unintentionally done to the multiplayer game aesthetic is unrepairable," said YouTuber Kelski. "Let's keep giving every game wacky and zany cosmetics like this until it's all just a big blog of indistinguishable mush. Who needs a consistent art style right."

The difference between Fortnite and CoD is that the former has been a cartoonish experience from the start, while Call of Duty is a military shooter for most of us. While the fried chicken gun is fun, many people agree it would suit the other game more.

Fortnite's influence has definitely stretched far, and every player decides if it's a good thing for themselves. Despite its connections, Eipc couldn't get Metroid's Samus Aran because Nintendo wanted Switch exclusivity.
