In a new interview with Variety, Warner Bros. Games president David Haddad discussed the success of the company's most recent title, Hogwarts Legacy, sharing some incredible statistics for the game, and spoke about Warner Bros.' plans to utilize its franchises in the creation of new video games.
Given its impressive performance in topping all imaginable charts, it's not surprising that Hogwarts Legacy has become a huge commercial success. And while Warner Bros. Games is yet to reveal the sales figures, the level of engagement among players is "spectacular", according to Haddad.
As of February 21, players have collectively logged 267 million hours of gameplay, grown 393 million magical plants, brewed 242 million potions, and defeated 1.25 billion Dark Wizards in the game.
This notable level of engagement is also seen in the community activity – since the release of Hogwarts Legacy, page views on the Harry Potter community on Fandom increased by 39% in just five days compared to the previous highest traffic period for the community which was driven by the release of 2018's Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.
