According to Circana's and GfK's reports, PlayStation Portal has been the best-selling gaming accessory in the UK and the US since its launch in November 2023.

Playstation Portal Remote Player has shown the highest revenue in the UK and the US. Since its launch in November 2023, the device has consistently ranked first or second among gaming accessories in the UK. The downfall was observed only in January 2024 due to stock issues. In terms of sales volume, the device occupies the 11th position.

Playstation Portal, a device for remote play compatible with PlayStation 5 produced by Sony, was initially met with a share of skepticism, as it only operates with the console. However, in October 2023, PlayStation Portal was sold out on Amazon in less than a week after pre-orders started. In February 2024, Hiromi Wakai, PlayStation's VP of Product Management, stated that the product's demand exceeded the company's expectations. Wakai explained that the device was never meant to be a standalone handheld and was designed to enhance the console gaming experience.
