Pokémon Go Reaches 678 Million Downloads Globally

A quarter of the number came from the United States.

Since its release in 2016, Pokémon Go has achieved over 678 million downloads globally. According to a recent report, a quarter of those downloads (164 million) originated from the United States, which happens to be the game's largest market. The report claims that Pokémon Go has the fourth spot for the most downloaded game of all time in the United States.

As for the global scale, Pokémon Go ranks as the 18th most downloaded mobile game of all time across both iOS and Android platforms. The new data also emphasized that the game held a spot within the top 20 games for average monthly active users on both iOS and Android throughout the first half of 2023.

What is more, Pokémon Go, according to the same report from Data.ai, stood at the third position in terms of average monthly active users rankings for both the United States and the United Kingdom during the first half of 2023. The game has been downloaded 19 million times in the UK.
