Pokémon Legends – Arceus Sold Over 6.5 Million Copies

Nintendo reported the game hitting the milestone within the week after release.

Nintendo announced that Pokémon Legends: Arceus sold 6.5 million copies, both digital and boxed. Quite an achievement, considering the game was launched a week before the announcement.

Out of these 6 million, over 1.43 million physical copies of the game come from Japan, which makes it the second fastest-selling Switch game there, the first being Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

In the UK, the game is on top of the physical sales chart and is the fourth biggest Pokémon retail launch of all time.

The previous installments of the 8th generation of Pokémon – Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, Pokémon Sword and Shield – sold around 6 million copies during the first week.
