Pokemon Go Raised $3.6 Billion Since Its Launch

Niantic’s Pokémon GO keeps its leading position in location-based games and celebrates its 4th anniversary since the release.

Sensor Tower Store Intelligence shared the data, according to which lifetime revenue of the game surpassed 3.6$ billion. The game is mostly played in the U.S, and American players brought most $1.3 billion which makes up 35.4% of total spending.

Google Play and App Store have 53.6% and 46.4% of revenue picked up accordingly. Google Play also has the majority of downloads, over 450 million, while App Store counts 125.4 million.

Due to the pandemic, Niantic has updated the game’s features and made it possible to play at home. These updates led to a $445.3 million raise in the first half of 2020.
