Police Visit ARC Raiders Player After His in-Game Cries for Help

Be careful of what you wish for.

You can't say that ARC Raiders is not realistic after a player got a police visit due to his desperate pleas for help, which his neighbors took very seriously.

Reddit user YoMopho shared a story of his recent ARC Raiders session, which ended up having real consequences: he was playing the game in a motel room when he "got ganked by a rocketeer."

"And I yelled out, "Heeelp, I’m done, rez me please, I got shot, please get me up!!!' There was a guy at the extract that I saw and attempted to but the rocketeer was close and dangerous so he left."

Then, he got a knock on the door from the police performing a welfare check "because someone reported someone getting shot in my room."

GamesRadar+ managed to confirm that a call like this was made that night. After YoMopho explained the situation, the police left "and looked at me with disdain considering my age, appearance, and where they were called and for what, only to see what it was."

"I swear man… I was laughing when I finally opened the door. I asked to take their picture at the end but they looked at me like I was a dumbass."

So yes, do consider your surroundings when you play games. This story could be a great ad for ARC Raiders' realism and immersion: so good that it might get you in trouble.
