Den of Wolves is the latest project from the creator of PAYDAY: The Heist, PAYDAY 2, and GTFO. It's an upcoming co-op heist FPS that we covered last October. The development seems to be progressing steadily, and we've got new pre-alpha gameplay footage to share with you today.
If you missed our earlier article, Den of Wolves is a session-based cooperative shooter where you and your friends play as hired criminals in Midway City. Plan and execute heists through industrial espionage, sabotage, theft, and assassinations. Gather your crew, choose the best approach, acquire weapons, gadgets, and intel, breach security systems, and execute the heist. It promises dynamic and unpredictable missions as your crew shifts from stealth to full-on action and back to mind-bending scenarios.
Last December, during the industry's grand event, The Game Awards, the game received its gameplay premiere, giving us insights into what to expect from this techno-thriller:
If you happen to be a passionate gamer who's also a professional animator, the following video, presented by Animation Director Alexander Damm, might be helpful to watch. It shows how its intense tactical action has been brought to life. He explains the precision and careful planning needed to capture authentic movement for Midway City's operatives, especially during motion capture sessions.
So far, the team is focusing on releasing the game PC, but they keep the console version in mind. Though the anticipation is intense, the game's release window is yet to be revealed. If you'd love to dive into this creative FPS on day one, wishlist the game on Steam and follow the project on X/Twitter.
