Plectrum Soft, the developer behind one of the most anticipated indie VR games, Project Mix, is looking for an experienced 3D Environment/Prop Artist to help bring the game to life through anime-style, hand-painted assets.
According to the team, this is a paid, full-time remote freelance position starting August 1, 2025, with an 8-month contract and potential for extension depending on funding and project needs. The role involves creating high-quality 3D assets in an anime art style, including modeling and hand-painting textures for objects such as vehicles, signage, furniture, and buildings.
Requirements include 4+ years of experience creating 3D game art, strong artistic and technical fundamentals (e.g., modeling, UV mapping, texturing), and proficiency in tools like Blender, Photoshop, Unity, and Substance 3D Painter. Applicants should also have a solid understanding of anime stylization, 3D game art workflows, and optimizing assets for mobile and VR platforms.
