Recently, it was suggested that Horizon Zero Dawn would be getting a remaster only seven years after its original release, with the PS5 update shipping in 2021. Now, there are rumors that PlayStation is working on another remaster that "would be even less exciting."
Industry insider Jeff Grubb said this in a recent episode of the Game Mess Mornings podcast. "And it's definitely not Bloodborne," he added. Grubb didn't say what game would be reworked, only suggesting that it would be announced at PlayStation's State of Play.
The insider also said that the release of yet another remaster fit into a narrative of "Sony's playing it safe." According to him, apart from Spider-Man and Astro Bot, other company's releases are remasters.
Aside from the potential remaster of Horizon Zero Dawn, The Last of Us Part 2 also saw a relatively early reworked version, which was released four years after the original launch.
