The developer also launched PSOFT Pencil+ 4 Render App.
Japanese developer PSOFT has released Pencil+ 4 Line for Blender along with Pencil+ 4 Render App. Pencil+ 4 Line for Blender adds hand-drawn-looking lines to 3D objects. It is based on the company's Pencil+ plug-in for non-photorealistic rendering.
Pencil+ 4 Line allows you to change a line's parameters like color, width, brush angle, opacity, and blend mode and then see the result in the viewport in real time.
"Create a wide range of richly expressive lines such as mechanically uniform lines, lines jutting out of objects for a rough sketch look, or lines with ample width modulation like those found in Japanese manga."
To use the add-on, you will need Pencil+ 4 Render App, which "receives data necessary for line drawing from an external application and returns the line drawing result."
While Pencil+ 4 Line for Blender is free, Render App is not. So if you want to try this out, you'll need to buy a license for ¥63,800 ($476).
