Kinetic Thoughts has released a new version of Pulldownit for Maya.
The update brings improved shatter performance of up to 8 times when using combined meshes, the ability to re-shatter single fragments, and other new features. There's a revamped transition animation-dynamics method for fracture bodies, the ability to add per fragment secondary cracks and the ability to recompute fragments with baked keys in dynamics.
Shatter New Features
Shatter of combined meshes up to 8x faster. Please note that the speedup depends on the tessellation of the original meshes, being up to 8 times faster for hi-poly models. Reshatter single fragments of baked fracture bodies to any extent. "Reshatter baked fragments is now an easy action and can be repeated to any extend, besides new shards created will acquire motion of the original fragment in dynamics."
UI Enhancements
