Another day for Ubisoft.

During the BLAST R6 Major Manchester 2024, a Rainbow Six Siege tournament, Ubisoft announced R6 Membership, a new monthly subscription service that should elevate players' gaming experience. It offers exclusive content every month, including a Legendary item, an Epic operator bundle, full access to the premium Battle Pass, 10 Battle levels, and a Bravo pack with over 4500 credits every month.
It would sound great if we forgot about the fact you have to pay $10 a month for it. And viewers certainly didn't. According to Insider Gaming, the reveal was booed and criticized by fans right at the event.
Other than that, Ubisoft introduced Operation New Blood with the reworked training facility, revamped Recruit training, and more.
Subscription services are nothing new nowadays, nearly every title offers something to get some extra money. Not so long ago, EA decided to increase the prices of its EA Play subscriptions, for example. And let's not forget about the Escape from Tarkov fiasco with its crazy $250 Unheard Edition, which might not be a recurring service but a cash grab anyway.
