As explained by the team at SIGGRAPH 2024, the concept behind RapidPipeline is relatively straightforward: much like ordering a pizza, a 3D Technical Artist can choose the "ingredients" and "flavors" they want for their 3D models.
For example, you can choose a 3D processor preset like 'Single-Item AR Mid Res,' and with just one click, the order is sent – whether it's for a single model or ten different ones.
If you have special requirements, you can open the preset, change the ingredients, and create your own custom preset. Maybe you need to preserve the UVs of your model, or perhaps you want to bake only a Normal Map and skip the AO baking. This way, you always get the best result tailored to your specific needs.
