RealBiomes, a development team specializing in creating high-quality downloadable 3D environments for games using Unreal Engine, has recently shipped Next-Gen 2.0, an enhanced and overhauled set of products that brings cinematic-level foliage for games, customizable seasons, foliage interactivity, and compatibility with the latest Unreal Engine 5.3.

The first updated biome Next-Gen 2.0 covers is the team's highly realistic Scots Pine Forest environment inspired by North European landscapes. Focusing on Nanite, Lumen, and VSM, the pack fully utilizes the latest and greatest technology in Unreal Engine 5.3 and comes with fully 3D-scan-based assets with up to 8K textures, LODs, and Collision complete with various pre-defined sub-biomes to help you create incredible forest diversity.

The second biome the release enhances is Desert Cliffs, a photorealistic scene that depicts an arid desert valley based on the Monument Valley in Arizona. Much like the previous bundle, the pack includes 3D-Scan assets, 8K textures, LODs, Collision, and pre-defined Sub-Biomes for vast and epic landscapes. It also comes with a fully generated and highly detailed 64 km2 example map, complete with distance meshes and various example Lumen lighting conditions.
