Relaxing Stylized City Builder with Unique Procedural System

Draw on the ground and see what happens in Lands of Koastalia.

In case you missed it

More from the artist

The beautiful game with a procedural building system by Pavel Valakh finally has a name: Lands of Koastalia lets you make towns in the most relaxing way possible.

"As Mayor, your primary mission is to keep people happy. Craft natural-looking villages, manage resources within and across them, explore an island, and meet the needs of your residents."

First of all, the game looks very cute: tiny houses, abundant fields, and adorable animals (I thought they were sheep but now they look like llamas to me) appear under your cursor in a single stroke. I like the element of surprise and anticipation this system, based on irregular grid, offers, you don't quite know what to expect from the initial yellow pain you cover your land with.

The fact you can draw however you want is supposed to help you create natural-looking villages where you'll need to manage resources and make your people happy. You'll need some strategic thinking to make sure production and supplies operate the way they should.

If you don't want to feel the stress of resource management, don't worry: Lands of Koastalia will have difficulty levels to cater to both high achievers and those of us who want a chill, visually pleasing experience.

The game doesn't have a release date yet, but you can wishlist it on Steam. Also, join our 80 Level Talent platform and our Telegram channel, follow us on InstagramTwitter, and LinkedIn, where we share breakdowns, the latest news, awesome artworks, and more.
