Last week, the developer also postponed the game 10 days so as not to clash with a myriad of other October releases. Alan Wake 2 will now be released on October 27, instead of October 17, for PC via the Epic Games Store, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
And prior to that, Remedy revealed that Alan Wake 2 will be exclusively available as a digital release meaning that there won't be any physical editions of the game, including for consoles. The decision proved to be controversial, with many players saying that the digital-only release made them contemplate whether to skip the game altogether.
