Remedy Shares Financial 2021 Results And Discusses Plans
The team has several titles in the works.
Remedy has shared a financial report for 2021, saying the company had a great year. The report also states that the best times for the team are yet to come – the studio now has several major games in the works, which should be driving their growth in the future.
The company generated annual revenue of €44.7 million (up 8.9% year-over-year), while its operating profit reached €14.7 million. The current plan is to make several games simultaneously in collaboration with Tencent, 505 Games, Smilegate, and Epic Games Store.
"In addition to story-focused single-player games, our ambition to also create longer-lasting games is materializing in two multiplayer service-based games," Remedy CEO Tero Virtala wrote.
The studio is said to be developing several titles based on the team's own IPs, including Alan Wake 2 announced last year. They are also working on two Control-related games, a co-op game codenamed Condor, and a bigger AAA project codenamed Heron. What is more, they are busy developing an online PvE shooter Vanguard, co-financed by Tencent.
